Toyota has pulled the wraps off the 2020 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition SUV that is meant to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the model. The Heritage Edition gets an exclusive design and more functionality and will be seen at the Chicago Auto show for the first time. The vehicle will be produced in a limited edition of 1,200 units and will go on sale late this summer.
Toyota is mum on pricing for now saying it will be announced closer to launch. The Heritage Edition is offered as a two-row SUV only for maximum cargo space. It comes in Midnight Black Metallic or Blizzard Pearl colors with a black-accented grille.
The ride rolls on bronze BBS wheels in 18 x 8.0 made of forged aluminum. The Heritage Edition lacks the running boards and chrome lower side moldings of the standard Land Cruiser. Inside the vehicle has exclusive black leather-trimmed upholstery with a bronze contrast stitching inside. Power is from a 5.7L V8 and 8-speed automatic transmission.
Exclusive Design Features
The 2020 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition stands out with its unique design elements that pay homage to the model’s storied past. The black-accented grille and bronze BBS wheels are not just aesthetic choices but symbols of the vehicle’s rugged yet refined character. The absence of running boards and chrome lower side moldings gives the SUV a cleaner, more streamlined look, emphasizing its off-road capabilities. The exclusive black leather-trimmed upholstery with bronze contrast stitching adds a touch of luxury to the interior, making it a perfect blend of comfort and durability.
Performance and Capability
Under the hood, the Heritage Edition is powered by a robust 5.7L V8 engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain ensures that the SUV is not just about looks but also about performance. The V8 engine delivers ample power for both on-road and off-road adventures, making it a versatile choice for those who seek both luxury and capability. The 8-speed automatic transmission provides smooth and efficient gear shifts, enhancing the overall driving experience.
The Land Cruiser has always been known for its off-road prowess, and the Heritage Edition is no exception. With its advanced suspension system and high ground clearance, this SUV is built to tackle challenging terrains with ease. Whether you’re navigating through rocky trails or cruising on the highway, the Heritage Edition promises a ride that’s both comfortable and exhilarating.
Interior Comfort and Technology
Inside, the Heritage Edition offers a spacious and luxurious cabin designed for maximum comfort. The two-row seating configuration provides ample cargo space, making it ideal for long trips and adventures. The black leather-trimmed seats with bronze contrast stitching not only look elegant but also offer excellent support for long drives.
In terms of technology, the Heritage Edition is equipped with a range of modern features to enhance the driving experience. From advanced navigation systems to premium audio setups, this SUV ensures that you stay connected and entertained on the go. Safety features are also top-notch, with multiple airbags, stability control, and advanced braking systems to keep you and your passengers safe.
Limited Edition Appeal
With only 1,200 units set to be produced, the 2020 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition is a true collector’s item. Its limited availability adds to its allure, making it a must-have for enthusiasts and collectors alike. The unique design elements and exclusive features make it a standout in the Land Cruiser lineup, celebrating six decades of excellence in style.
The 2020 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition is a fitting tribute to a legendary model. With its exclusive design, powerful performance, and luxurious interior, it offers a unique blend of tradition and modernity.
