Hyundai has rolled out a new mid-size SUV meant to look good and haul lots of folks at the LA Auto Show. The new SUV is called the Palisade, and it takes its place as the flagship Hyundai SUV. Hyundai says it is ideal for road trips with a 10-inch navigation screen, wireless device charging, seven USB ports, second row ventilated seats, shift-by-wire, and roof-based diffuser vents.
Hyundai’s SmartSense assistance tech comes standard. The SUV can haul up to eight people with powered third-row seats, and one-touch second-row seats. Other features include Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and an available premium Infinity audio system. Hyundai also fits the car with a color HUD to place important driving into on the windshield.
Since this is a bigger car, it has a Driver Talk in-car intercom with rear seat conversation modes and sleep modes. Power is via a 3.8L V6 engine making 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque and can put power to all four wheels thanks to HTRAC AWD system. Palisade will hit dealers in the summer of 2019; pricing is unannounced.
