BMW has announced the 2019 i3 120Ah and i3s 120Ah EVs. The new 2019 version of the car gains power capacity with a 120Ah power pack compared to the 94Ah rating for the 2017 version. This means longer driving distance with an estimated range of 153 miles per charge.
BMW says that the EPA rating for the car is pending. The 120Ah battery has gross energy content of 42.2 kWh. BMW has a new exterior color called Jucaro Beige Metallic w/ Frozen Grey accents which replaces the outgoing Protonic Blue Metallic w/Frozen Grey accent option. The normal 2019 i3 will have 170hp and can reach 60mph in 7.2 seconds.
The BMW i3s has a 181hp electric motor and can reach 60mph in 6.8-seconds. New interior colors are offered including the optional Mega World in Electronic Brown Trim and Mega Carum Spice Gray. BMW says that over 80% of the materials seen by passengers are recycled or renewable. A full range of driver assistance systems are offered along with a long list of options for 2019.
