Subaru has announced that it will unveil the all-new 2018 Crosstrek at the New York International Auto Show. The 2018 Crosstrek gets a new exterior and interior and becomes the second model to use the Subaru Global Platform. The car will be powered by a 2.0L boxer engine making 152hp, which is a bump from the 148hp it made before.
For fans of the manual transmission the 2018 Crosstrek will be offered with a 6-speed manual in 2.0i base and Premium trims. A Lineartronic CVT will be offered as an option on all trim levels. The Limited comes standard with the CVT. The new Crosstrek has available X-Mode for off-road use and can be had with the Subaru Eyesight system.
The new Crosstrek has a 104.9-inch wheelbase, which is 1.2-inches longer than the previous model. The vehicle has 8.7-inches of ground clearance. The AWD system also now gets Active Torque vectoring for better handling, something that was first seen on the WRX.
