We aren’t sure what’s going on over at Jeep right now. Rumors have been flying that 2018 is the year the all-new Wrangler JL debuts. However, Jeep has announced its 2018 line and the Wrangler JK is carrying over. That is the existing Wrangler for those not familiar with the Wrangler nomenclature.
For 2018, Jeep is getting specific in calling the Wrangler the Wrangler JK and the vehicles get stickers on the driver’s side quarter panel that say that. This makes us wonder if perhaps the Wrangler JL will be sold alongside the JK. A cheaper Wrangler JK would be huge for Jeep if sold along with the JL.
2018 Wrangler JK special editions will include the Golden Eagle with tan soft top and available tan half doors. It gets Golden Eagle center and side hood decals and more. The Freedom Edition returns with military style, steel off road bumpers, and lots more. The Altitude model also returns with body color hardtop among other things. The 285hp V6 carries over for 2018.
