Chevrolet says that the largest mid-size truck market in the US is in Los Angeles, California. More midsize trucks are sold in LA than the next two largest markets combined according to Chevy. That means that the latest special edition of the Colorado is specifically designed to appeal to those California buyers. The new special edition is called the Colorado Shoreline and it gets a special accessory package that sets the truck apart from the normal Colorado.
The Shoreline is offered on the extended cab version of the truck in LT trim with 2WD or 4WD versions offered. The truck comes in silver, white, blue, and red exterior colors and all have minimal chrome and blacked-out trim. Shoreline buyers also get some of the most popular accessories for the truck standard including the spray-in bedliner, all-weather floor mats, and a year of Sirius XM radio.
“The Shoreline is a great example of our strategy to offer unique trucks designed for very specific customers,” said Chevy’s Sandor Piszar. “These trucks have clearly resonated with customers, as last year our special edition trucks sold in one-third the time, and to younger, more affluent buyers than the industry average.” Pricing and availability for the Shoreline are unannounced at this time.
