Land Rover has unveiled the new flagship Range Rover model in New York and the SUV is all about luxury and power. It packs an updated 550hp supercharged V8 under the hood that uses a new engine management system and a roots supercharger to produce more power and torque than the engine did in the past while keeping the same efficiency.
The engine puts its power to the ground via a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. The SVAutobiography replaced the Autobiography Black version as the most luxurious Range Rover model. Inside the vehicle gets a bespoke interior with machined aluminum components all around.
Buyers can also choose dual-tone paint for the first time on the new SVAutobiography model. I already mentioned that the supercharged V8 produces 550hp; it produces 502 lb-foot of torque to go along with that horsepower. Range Rover also fits the SUV with black Brembo brake calipers up front. The SVAutobiography starts at $199,495 making it one of the most expensive SUVs you will run across. Range Rover will have the SVAutobiography and the full Range Rover 2016 year model range on sale this fall.
