Microsoft has announced that it will be offering buyers on new PC systems loaded with Windows 7 the chance to upgrade to their new Windows 8 operating system that is currently under development, and set to be released later this year for just $14.99.
So if you are considering purchasing a new PC system with at least Windows 7 Home Basic version installed, you will be able to upgrade to the Windows 8 Pro version once its released for just $14.99.
When Windows 8 is released Microsoft will be offering two versions Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro with support for Windows Media Center available separately.
Microsoft will also be offering boxed upgrades as well for users currently using older windows version, including Windows 8 Pro bundled with Windows Media Center. But as yet no pricing as been revealed.
