128GB SanDisk iXpand Flash Drive Now Supports Touch ID Encryption

As well as announcing the launch of their new massive 200 GB microSD card, SanDisk have also unveiled the latest version of their SanDisk iXpand flash drive, that was originally launched last year.

The latest SanDisk iXpand addition now provides users with 128GB of storage that can now be secured using Touch ID encryption thanks to the free iXpand Sync app.

SanDisk explains a little more about the iXpand storgae device :

“It’s like the USB Flash Drive you use to transfer files between computers – but made for your iPhone and iPad1. Simply connect the drive to your iPhone or iPad with the Lightning connector, or use the USB connector to quickly and securely transfer your photos and videos to your PC or Mac computer.

Simply connect the drive to your iPhone or iPad with the Lightning connector and the app will launch and, if you choose, you can automatically sync your photos and videos from the camera roll to the drive whenever it’s connected. The app makes it easy to watch videos or listen to music directly from the drive. To keep your content safe, the app even lets you encrypt files for secure transfer and storage between your devices.”

Unfortunately no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet, but as soon as information comes to light we will keep you updated as always. But the SanDisk iXpand app is now available to download from the iTunes App store.
