Xiaomi is reportedly working on its latest flagship device, the Xiaomi Mi5. We’ve heard several rumors about what the handset will come with in the past few weeks.
Now, the company’s co-founder and Senior VP Liwan Jiang confirmed that Xiaomi Mi5 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 820 chipset, and will launch after the Chinese Spring Festival which will take place next month.
The executive said the handset has entered mass production and the company is making sure that they have enough stock before the official launch date which will take place after the Chinese Spring Festival.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the alleged Xiaomi Mi5 will come with a 5.3-inch display sporting a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels, and will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB of RAM on board. There’s 16/64GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, a 16MP camera for photos and videos, a 3,030 mAh battery and ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI 7 on top of it.
