Last week, we saw the press render of the gigantic Xiaomi Max phablet with the report hinting at the possible launch event to take place in May.
It turns out the report was correct as the Chinese company has started teasing the Xiaomi Max phablet on Weibo, and revealed that it will launch on May 10th.
Up till now, the details about what the handset were a little scarce, but the alleged device made an appearance on the benchmarking website, GFXBench, and revealed what it’s expected to bring at the table. As per the listing on GFXBench, the device boasts a gigantic 6.4-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, an octa-core Snapdragon 650 processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with 2GB of RAM. This is quite different than previous rumors which hinted at the Snapdragon 820 processor to be under the hood.
Other listed features includes 16MP camera for photos and videos, 5MP front-facing camera, 16GB of internal storage, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow pre-installed out of the box.
