Vivo is a popular Chinese smartphone brand, but it’s not too popular globally in key smartphone markets. The company is working on a new flagship device, the Vivo Xplay 5. The Vivo Xplay 5 is set to launch on March 1st and will be the first device to launch with a massive 6GB of RAM on board.
Recently, the alleged Vivo Xplay 5 posed for the camera, giving us a glimpse of what the handset may look like when it’s officially available.
The handset was also spotted on AnTuTu, and the company itself confirmed that it will boast 6GB of RAM and will come with Snapdragon 820 as its processor.
Details about the specifications are scarce at the moment, but the rumors suggest that it will be equipped with a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels, a 16MP camera for photos and videos, an 8MP front-facing camera, and possibly Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
March 1st is just around the corner and we’re hoping the company will surprise us with their latest flagship device. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely to make it to international markets, but you never know, Vivo may announce the handset for key global markets as well. We’ll update you as soon as we hear anything more.
