Android Marshmallow is available for several handsets in the US, and it seems Verizon is going to join the list as well.
The Big Red carrier has started rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for a number of handsets, including the LG G4, LG G3 and HTC One M9.
The new update brings a handful of new features on board, including Google Now on tap and battery improvements thanks to Doze feature which optimizes the phone when it’s in idle state. There are several other improvements, including the ability to control the permissions granted to an application.
The update roll out process is gradual so it may take a few days for the update to reach all devices. Don’t panic if you don’t see the update right away. Alternatively, you can manually check for the update from Settings on your device. However, make sure to connect to a WiFi network before downloading the update as its quite big.
Let us know if you’ve received the update on your device. Can you notice any major changes to battery life after upgrading?
