Recently, @evleaks tweeted code names for several mysterious Nokia devices including Goldfinger, Moneypenny, Normandy, Phantom, Spinel. If you’re a James Bond fan, you might have heard about Goldfinger and Moneypenny while the remaining three are kind of a mystery at the moment.
Now that we have some code names, we can begin the guessing games. Let’s just start with Spinel, which is a Magnesium and Aluminium mineral, suggesting we might see a Windows Phone handset with a metal case body. Several interpretations can be drawn from the other names and we’ll leave them to the rumor mill for now.
Windows Phone 8 handsets are gaining momentum, thanks to Nokia as the company is working extensively to launch new handsets which are capable of giving good competition to the other handsets. And, especially after the launch of Windows Phone 8 Update 3, we might see more high-end Windows Phone 8 handsets that may help the Redmond giant gain more market share.
We do know that Nokia has some handsets in the pipeline including the purported Lumia 525, the successor of the insanely popular Lumia 520/521, as well as a new Windows tablet.
What do you people think? Can you link these codenames with anything and predict what’s coming? Let us know in the comments below.
