Now that 2013 is winding down to a close it’s time to start looking at the final statistics. Sony has decided to call it on their downloadable PS Plus games and released a list of the top 5 most downloaded PS Plus games of 2013.
The winners were:
- Mafia 2
- Remember Me
- Spec Ops: The Line
- Need for Speed: Most Wanted
- Saints Row: The Third
It’s a little surprising. I thought it’d just be a list of the major games of 2013, but apparently everyone felt the need to get a physical copy of the games they anticipated the most. That’s not to say the games on this list aren’t good, but they aren’t in any Game of the Year talks. (Keep in mind that these aren’t the highest rated games either.)
Sony will take the data and hopefully work on creating more content along the lines of what people are interested in. Maybe a mafia-esque open world game with Need for Speed racing mechanics.
I have two questions for everyone on this: Do you think the shows an accurate representation of what gamers want, and what would you like to see downloadable in the next year?
