Last week, it was reported that several carriers in Canada will kick off the Android 6.0 Marshmallow roll out for the Samsung Galaxy S6.
It seems the day has finally arrived as Videotron and Telus are now rolling out the Android Marshmallow update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 users.
Telus is rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for its carrier-branded version of the handset which includes the latest version of the OS as well as the April’s security patch. Here’s the complete change log from Telus:
- Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)
- April security upgrade
- Exercise greater control over app permissions
- Purchase easily and securely with Fingerprint support
- Experience enhanced battery-life through Doze
- Redesigned App Drawer
Videotron is also rolling out the same update for its Galaxy S6 users including all the goodies and upgrades offered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow, such as improved battery life, better app drawers, performance improvements and more.
If you have not received the update, don’t panic as it can take a few days to reach all devices. Alternatively, you can manually upgrade the OS from Settings on your device and checking for the update manually.
