The Magenta carrier released a list of devices which will get the Android Marshmallow update, but unfortunately, the LG V10 was mentioned in the list despite its launch in October last year.
Now, T-Mobile has confirmed that LG V10 will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the coming weeks. The carrier didn’t reveal the exact date for the roll out, but it’s still a good news that it’s coming to the handset.
The company’s support site further mentions that the device will get the update and is currently in the “Manufacturer Development” stage. It’s an early stage where the carrier and the manufacturer have agreed to support the latest software version for the handset.
The LG V10 ships with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop as its operating system out of the box, and a secondary display which sits on top of the main display and is one of the main selling points of the handset.
We’ll update you as soon as the carrier releases any information about the availability of the update for the handset.
