CES 2014 is just around the corner and will kick on on January 7th in Las Vegas. Numerous manufacturers will be at the event with their latest gadgets and gizmos.
Today, we have an interesting piece of news for Sony fans out there. According to rumors, Sony is working on a new device codenamed Sirius that they plan to showcase at the Consumers Electronics Show 2013 next week. Additionally, Sony is also working on another device that will see the daylight sometime in May.
Let’s just start with the device that’s going to make an official appearance in Las Vegas next week. The purported handset is codenamed Sirius and will rock a 5.2-inch display with Snapdragon 800 chipset on board. There are no extra details available about the purported handset, but it should be a high-end device, included in the Xperia family.
The second device, the Canopus, is actually a surprise. The handset is expected to feature a 5-inch display with Snapdragon 805 under the hood. The surprising part is that it supports WiFi connectivity only — no cellular connectivity at all. It could be some sort of a media player, but do you think it’s need at the moment?
Let me remind you that it’s just a rumor, and not anything official. For that, we must wait for CES 2014 and see what Sony has planned for us.
