Good news everyone, Sony is about to single-handedly reverse the global economic crisis. All we have to do is retrain as network security experts and Sony is sure to have steady and gainful employment for all 6.9 billion of us in perpetuity. Make that 6.8, since we’d still need some hackers.
While at first glance it would seem like the frequency of attacks on Sony infrastructure has massively increased, you need to keep in mind the scrutiny Sony’s under has kept pace. Be that as it may though, this latest one is definitely news-worthy since the interlopers made off with about a million passwords, twenty thousand music coupons and the BMG Belgium full employee roster. They’ve even posted fifty thousand passwords for public consumption, though it’s hard to say if they’re real just yet.
