As September approaches, more and more leaks about Samsung Galaxy Note III emerge all over the internet. A recent leak suggests that the much awaited phablet will launch on September 6 at IFA, 2013, and it will sport a 5.7 inch display rather than 6-inch – something that was tipped by @evleaks as well.
Earlier leaks suggested that the smartphone will hit the shelves on September 4, two days before IFA kicks off in Germany. Korea Herald reports that according to unnamed industry officials state that the device will be launched at IFA 2013 in Germany.
Personally, I think the size of 5.7 inch is still reasonable because if the device becomes larger than that, the whole purpose of portability is lost. Consider Sony Xperia Z Ultra as an example, the phablet boasts a screen size of 6.44 inch which is close to the tablets (e.g Nexus 7) that are currently available in the market.
According to Korea Herald,
The world’s No. 1 smartphone maker is also expected to reveal the 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3 in September at the IFA 2013 event in Germany, according to industry officials.
The device is expected to feature a Snapdragon 800 or Samsung Exynos 5420 processor, 3GB RAM, 1080p display, 13MP camera and LTE-Advanced connectivity. Samsung already released the first LTE-Advance handset in the form of Galaxy S4 which is already available.
Currently, there is no official statement made by the Korean giant about the launch of its flagship phablet. The current scenario suggest that it is time for Samsung to unveil Galaxy Note III considering the competition it has from Sony and other manufacturers who are entering the phablet market.
