Yesterday, we saw some leaked specifications of Samsung Galaxy Note 7, courtesy of the popular Twitter leaker @evleaks, which is expected to see the light of the day in the coming months.
Recently, some more specifications of the alleged Galaxy Note 7 surfaced from China, revealing what we can expect from the handset.
Processor and Performance
According to the new leaks, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be powered by the new Snapdragon 821 processor along with the company’s own Exynos 8893 processor. This dual-processor strategy is not new for Samsung, as they have previously used different processors for different markets to optimize performance and efficiency. The Snapdragon 821 is an upgrade over the 820, promising better performance and power management. The Exynos 8893, on the other hand, is expected to offer similar enhancements, ensuring that the Galaxy Note 7 remains a powerhouse in terms of processing capabilities.
Display, Memory, and Storage
The handset is said to come with a 5.7-inch QHD display, which translates to a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. This high-resolution display is perfect for media consumption, gaming, and productivity tasks, providing sharp and vibrant visuals. Paired with 6GB of RAM, the Galaxy Note 7 is expected to handle multitasking with ease, allowing users to switch between apps without any lag.
In terms of storage, the device will offer multiple options: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB of internal storage. This range of storage options ensures that users can choose a model that best fits their needs. Additionally, the inclusion of a microSD card slot for expansion means that users can further increase their storage capacity, making it easier to store large files, photos, and videos without worrying about running out of space.
Camera and Battery
Other features include a 12-megapixel dual-pixel phase-detection rear camera for photos and videos. This camera technology is designed to provide faster autofocus and better low-light performance, ensuring that users can capture high-quality images in various conditions. The 5-megapixel front camera is ideal for selfies and video calls, offering clear and detailed images.
The Galaxy Note 7 is also expected to come with a 4,000 mAh battery, which is a significant upgrade over its predecessors. This large battery capacity, combined with fast-charging support, means that users can enjoy longer usage times and quickly recharge their device when needed. The fast-charging feature is particularly useful for users who are always on the go and need their device to be ready at a moment’s notice.
Software and Launch
The device will come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow pre-installed out of the box. While this may not be the latest version of Android at the time of its release, Samsung is known for providing timely updates to its flagship devices, so users can expect to receive updates to newer versions of Android in the future.
This year, Samsung is expected to ditch the IFA for the launch of the handset and announce it a few weeks earlier in August. This move is likely aimed at giving the Galaxy Note 7 a head start in the market, allowing it to capture consumer interest before other major smartphone releases. There’s no word from the company about it, but we’ll update you as soon as we get to hear anything.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is shaping up to be an impressive device with top-of-the-line specifications and features. From its powerful processors and high-resolution display to its advanced camera technology and large battery capacity, the Galaxy Note 7 is designed to meet the needs of even the most demanding users. As we await its official launch, the leaked specifications have certainly set high expectations for Samsung’s next flagship device.
