Apple has released the all new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, which are already up for grabs across the globe. As for its predecessor, it’s still enjoying some perks as its price has reduced.
According to a new report from IHS Markit, Apple’s iPhone 7 was the best selling smartphone in the first half of 2017, followed by its bigger sibling, the iPhone 7 Plus.
The third spot was claimed by Samsung’s budget-friendly smartphone, Galaxy Grand Prime Plus, whose predecessor also enjoyed the same success due to its affordable price as well as a decent set of specifications. Apple iPhone 6S was on the fourth place followed by the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ captured the fifth and sixth place, respectively.
It’s worth mentioning that these are not the official numbers from the companies, but from a market research firm IHS Markit.
The top ten list included five Samsung handsets, four Apple devices, and one phone made by Oppo. As we said before, these aren’t official numbers but they do sound quite reasonable.
