If you’re a regular user of Picasa for Windows or Mac, you should know the developers have released Google+ Auto Backup for Windows and Mac, which comes as a part of the latest update of Picasa for Windows and Mac.
It works in a similar fashion as it does on mobile devices, giving users the ability to select the folders that you want to sync with Google+ — it even supports SD cards.
The latest Picasa version installs a separate utility known AS Google+ Auto Backuo, which works in the background similar to Google Drive. The images uploaded to Google+ are private by default and takes up your Google Drive storage. Users have the option to resize the images they upload in order to save storage space on their Google Drive account. And if you’re worried about your privacy, this is what GooglePlus Helper has to say,
“All photos uploaded through Google+ Auto Backup will default to private in Google+, so you can decide what actions to take once they are backed up to Google+. Once your photos have been uploaded, they will appear along with other Auto Backup photos. We’ll arrange them by date in the Highlights section of Google+ Photos, and you can search desktop in Photos Search to easily find all of the photos that you’ve backed up through your desktop.”
Just head over to Picasa and download the latest application.
