Moto X Play has already received the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update earlier this year, but it seems the company is rolling out the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow in India and Canada.
The update is sized at merely 388MB so it doesn’t seem to be a pretty big update. Nonetheless, make sure you’re connected to a WiFi network before you download, especially if you don’t want to choke out your allocated data limit.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow brings a number security and stability improvements as well as the latest Emoji 8.0 support on the handset. Additionally, Motorola has added a few tweaks of their own, allowing users to launch the camera app by double pressing the power button, as well as the ability to change the camera shutter sound.
