LG has confirmed that the company will introduce a new V series smartphone by the end of this quarter.
The company didn’t go into details about the handset nor its name, but it’s highly likely that we’re going to see the successor of the LG V10.
There’s no other information available from official channels, but the rumors suggest that the handset will be known as LG V20, and is expected to see the light of the day sometime in September.
The confirmation about the handset came in as a part of LG’s Q2 2016 earnings announcement. The company reported an overall operating profit of $503.1 million, but the situation wasn’t too good for the company’s mobile division. It ended up with a loss of a whopping 132.10 million.
Can LG make an impact in the market with the launch of the new LG V20 or whatever it will be called at the time of launch? It’s also worth mentioning that Apple is also expected to launch the next iPhone in September so it’s going to be a pretty interesting month for smartphone fans.
