The mid-range market is becoming more and more competitive with every passing day. Earlier this week, Xiaomi introduced the extremely affordable Redmi 3 offering a very decent set of specifications for just $105.
To compete with Xiaomi’s offering, Lenovo has introduced the Lemon 3 smartphone, which offers an excellent set of specifications, and costs the same as the Xiaomi Redmi 3, that is, 699 Yuan ($105).
The handset brings a similar set of specifications as the Redmi 3. There’s a 5-inch HD display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor on board. The handset features 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 13MP camera for photos and videos, a 5MP front-facing camera, and ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop as its operating system out of the box..
The major difference between the Redmi 3 and the Lenovo Lemon 3 is the battery. The latter comes with a 2750 mAh unit, while the Redmi 3 boasts an enormous 4100 mAh battery. So, this is a big difference between the two with the other one being a better resolution on the Lenovo Lemon 3. So, it’s a tough call if you’re considering any of the two handsets.
There’s no word about it’s launch in other global markets, but I’m sure if it does, it can be an excellent option for users who are looking for a budget-friendly Android device.
