Apple released iOS 7 back in September, just a few days before the iPhone 5S hit retail. Earlier this month, we heard that iOS 7 is running on almost 74 percent of the Apple devices, according to official Apple website.
Now, we have some more numbers about the adoption of Apple’s latest operating system. According to the new data, iOS 7 is running on almost 78 percent devices.
Apple also shared some figures for the previous versions of the operating system. Currently, iOS 6 is running on almost 18 percent of the devices, compared to 22 percent in the last report. While the remaining 4 percent are on the earlier versions of iOS, which is still similar to last month.
Apple has seen growth in the adoption rate, but it’s rather slow, as last report mentioned 22 percent on iOS 6, and in almost a month, 4 percent of them moved over to the latest operating system.
Apple released iOS 6 over a year ago, and when combined, it means that Apple’s most recent operating systems are rocking on 96 percent of the Apple devices that are currently being used by people.
