Huawei Honor 7 is expected to get the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update by the end of this month, as revealed by the folks at Honor.
The company mentioned on Twitter that the update will roll out in the next two weeks, and the final build is being rolled out to beta testers.
“Beta testers of Android 6 for Honor 7 started to receive the final version via OTA. All beta tester will receive the OTA update in stages,” Honor EU said on Twitter.”After Beta testers, all other user will get the final version of Android 6 via OTA. We assume it will be within the next 2 weeks.”
At the moment, the sweet Android 6.0 Marshmallow is only available for Honor 7 users residing in India. However, there’s a catch: they also have to request the update to the latest operating system, and register with their smartphone’s IMEI number as well as the software version.
There’s no word of when the company will release the Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Honor 7 in other regions, as well as some of the other Honor devices such as the Honor 5X. We’ll update you as soon as we hear anything more about the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Huawei handsets.
