Several manufacturers are upgrading their flagship and high-end devices to the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, and it seems Huawei may finally upgrade its handsets.
According to a new report, Huawei will upgrade a number of its handsets to Android 5.0 Lollipop released last year, including the Ascend Mate7, Ascend P7, Ascend Mate 2, and Ascend G7. In addition to Android 5.0 Lollipop, the update also bring the latest Huawei UI as well.
The first handset which is expected to get the update is the Ascend Mate 7 which was released last year and came with Android 4.4 Kitkat on board. The next in line is the Ascend P7 and Mate 2 which will start getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update from July. Last but not the least, the Ascend G7 is expected to get the update starting September.
Do note it’s the time when the update process will start so it may take some time to reach all devices. The availability may vary depending on the carriers and region as well.
Let’s hope the company releases the update as soon as possible as most of the flagship devices are already running the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop.
We’ll update you as soon as the company starts rolling out the latest update.
