Over the past few weeks, we’ve heard quite a lot about the HTC One M10, but the rumors suggest that it’s not coming to the Mobile World Congress 2016 later this month in Barcelona.
Recently, an image has leaked on the internet showing the HTC One M10 in white, courtesy of the popular Evan Blass aka @evleaks.
Design and Display
Rumors suggest that HTC One M10 will launch with a 5.1-inch display sporting a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels. This Quad HD display is expected to offer vibrant colors and sharp details, making it ideal for media consumption and gaming. The design appears to follow HTC’s tradition of sleek and premium aesthetics, with a metal unibody that not only looks good but also feels sturdy in hand. The leaked images show a white variant, but it is likely that HTC will offer multiple color options to cater to different tastes.
Performance and Features
Under the hood, the HTC One M10 is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM. This combination should provide ample power for multitasking, gaming, and running demanding applications smoothly. The Snapdragon 820 is known for its efficiency and performance, which should translate to a snappy user experience.
Other features include 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot. This is a welcome feature for users who need extra space for their apps, photos, and videos. The handset is also expected to ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow as its operating system out of the box, offering the latest features and improvements from Google.
The camera setup on the HTC One M10 is another highlight. It is rumored to feature a 12MP rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS). OIS helps in reducing blur caused by hand movements, resulting in clearer and sharper photos, especially in low-light conditions. The front camera details are not yet confirmed, but it is expected to be competitive, catering to selfie enthusiasts and video callers.
Battery and Additional Features
Battery life is always a crucial aspect of any smartphone, and the HTC One M10 is expected to come with a battery that can easily last a full day of moderate to heavy use. While the exact battery capacity is not yet known, HTC’s previous models have generally offered decent battery performance, and the M10 is expected to follow suit.
In terms of connectivity, the HTC One M10 is likely to support the latest standards, including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. These features ensure that users can stay connected and enjoy fast data speeds, whether they are browsing the web, streaming videos, or making contactless payments.
HTC is rumored to announce the handset in mid-April with the handset hitting retail in May. This timeline gives HTC ample opportunity to build anticipation and ensure a smooth launch. We’ll update you as soon as we get to hear anything more about the handset.
