Few days after the update hit Taiwenese HTC One owners, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is starting to roll out for HTC One owners in different parts of Europe as well. We reported earlier that the update was confirmed by Three in a tweet as well few weeks back. The update is sized at 417MB and few owners of the 4G variant of the device began seeing the update via OTA (over-the-air).
The update brings many new features and bug fixes including widget panel rearrangement, new lock screen style, updated HTC Sense, battery percentage in the status bar and much more. Don’t worry if you cannot just see the notification on your device, it normally takes a few days for the update to roll out. The timing also depends on your location and place from where you bought your handset. The users who bought their handset through a carrier may have to wait a little bit longer than the others.
For all those unlucky US owners, there is no official date about the release of the much awaited Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update.
As the update is pushed over the air, you can also navigate to Settings > About > Software updates to see if you can get the update. Do let us know if you have updated your device.
