HTC introduced the Nexus 9 tablet back in 2014. The tablet didn’t get the response the Taiwanese company was expecting despite the fact that it came with top-of-the-line specifications.
If you’re still thinking about getting your hands on the HTC-made Nexus 9, there’s some bad news for you. The tablet is no longer listed in the Google Play Store and the product listing page now redirects to store’s homepage.
Even if you search for it on the Google Play Store, you’ll not find it as it seems that the search engine giant has discontinued the tablet. Nonetheless, if you’re still interested, third-party retailers like Amazon and Best Buy still have you covered. It’s not just the third-party retailers, HTC is directly selling the tablet as well so in case you’re looking for an alternative place to purchase, there are a lot of options. As for the Google Play Store, the only tablet listed is the company’s own Pixel C.
It will be interesting to see if the company has officially discontinued the tablet, or is it just Google who have stopped selling it. Can we expect a new Nexus tablet in the coming weeks? You never know.
