Not too long ago, Huawei introduced the Honor 8 smartphone in China, but as expected, it’s going to launch in more markets in the coming weeks.
Huawei has scheduled an event on August 16th in San Francisco where the company is expected to unveil the metal-clad Honor 8 smartphone in the US.
The exact availability date for the handset is still unknown, but it’s likely that Honor 8 will launch in the country right after the announcement.
The handset features a premium metal design and comes with a 5.2-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels. The handset features multiple versions similar to other Huawei handsets: the 32GB version comes with 3GB of RAM on board while the 64/128GB version boasts 4GB of RAM. A microSD card slot is also present if you want expandable storage on your device.
There’s a 12MP dual camera, similar to the one introduced with the Huawei P9, for photos and videos, an 8MP front-facing camera, a 3,000 mAh battery to make sure you don’t run out of juice, 4G LTE connectivity, a fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor and ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Stay tuned, we’ll update you with the availability and pricing details as soon as the handset is officially announced by the company.
