Devotees of Final Fantasy and Splinter Cell, rejoice! Best Buy is slashing $50 off the two games’ retail price as Xbox special edition bundles starting today, August 1st (they originally sold for $399).
Those who avail of either the white Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 or its black Splinter Cell counterpart will get more bang for their buck as each bundle comes with two controllers, a 250GB hard drive and the console itself.
Not just a flash in the pan to attract customers, the discount applies to all available stock and will stay in place indefinitely until all units are sold.
Online pundits have already noted the cleverness of such a move as Best Buy is clearing shelf space in anticipation of the sleek Xbox Kinect that will hit North American stores tomorrow and the rest of the world at mid-to-late August.
