We’ve heard some rumors in the past that Apple will launch its upcoming iPhone 6 sometime in the middle of September.
Well, it seems it could be correct, Re/code reports that Apple will hold an event on September 9th where the company will unveil its upcoming iPhone 6. It’s not just Re/code, Bloomberg, and also reported, citing people familiar with the plans, that Apple has scheduled an event for Sept. 9th.
The date goes in line with the previous launches which took place in mid-September. Apple is expected to launch two new iPhones with a larger display: 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. However, there’s still no official confirmation about the products we’ll see at the event — there won’t be any, and there should not be any doubts that it would be for something other than the iPhone.
Some rumors do suggest that 5.5-inch model has been delayed due to issues with the production process, and will see the light of the day by the end of the year, or early 2015. We’ve reports hinting at a limited launch of the device, something similar to the Mac Pro, which was available in limited quantities at launch and took months to level the demand.
There’s no word if the press invites have gone out, but we’ll update you as soon as it does.
