Just a few weeks before CES 2013, Chinese manufacturer ZTE has something it wants you to know. The ZTE Grand S is even thinner than we all thought. A picture of the device led many to believe it measures 7.6mm thick, but a slide of the phone shown during its launch event in China, shows it to be just 6.9mm thin.
Yes, slimmer than the HTC DROID DNA and the recently announced ZTE Nubia Z5. This would make it the thinnest of its class at .55mm.
Speculation suggests that it has a quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor and 2GB of RAM. The 13MP rear-facing camera was confirmed during the event in China. Android 4.1 should be installed out of the box. The ZTE may be priced at ¥2,799 or $449 USD, off-contract.
