Last month the rumors suggested that the Wii U exclusive ZombiU could be losing its exclusivity and making its way onto consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One. This was later confirmed when the game showed up on the Australian Classification Board. It also recently made an appearance on Taiwan’s own Game Software Rating Regulations board.
The game’s title was written as “Zombi”, without the U, which again seems to confirm that the game will be making its way onto other consoles. Ubisoft has not yet confirmed that the game will be ported to other consoles, but given all that we’ve seen so far, I think we can safely say that it will.
Unless there is another game called Zombi that we don’t know about. The game was originally announced back in 2012 and it was said that it would take advantage of the Wii U’s hardware and features the best. The game relies on the GamePad with some of its in-game features, acting as a secondary display for players to check their inventory, weapons etc.
Then later Ubisoft revealed that there were no plans to make a sequel to ZombiU due to a lack of profitability of the game. Now that it is possible that the game will be launched on newer consoles, maybe we will get a sequel after all.
