Fans are eagerly awaiting The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It will be released for both Nintendo Wii U and the Nintendo Switch. If you’re wondering whether buying the new console will make this game better, we have some news for you.
The Zelda Switch resolution will not be 1080p. Nintendo has confirmed the fact that its upcoming Switch console will not run The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at full 1080p resolution. That is bound to upset some hardcore fans.
Nintendo said that the game will run at 900p on the Switch when it’s docked while the Wii U version will only go up to 720p. The company also mentioned that gamers on Switch will get “higher quality environmental sounds” and will have a more realistic and enhanced gameplay feel. Hopefully that will make it all better?
The overall gameplay experience will more or less be same for the Wii U and the Switch. Both versions will run at 30 frames-per-second so those crossing their fingers for 1080p/60fps performance will be sadly disappointed. This doesn’t mean that it is a bad game, just that the image quality may not be what you had hoped it would be.
