If you’ve been meaning to purchase the game Alan Wake, but just haven’t gotten around to it, you might want to hurry up or you won’t be able to get it.
Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that it will no longer be possible to buy Alan Wake after May 15th. This is because that’s when the game is going to be pulled from online and all retail stores. Better hurry.
Remedy Entertainment is going to pull Alan Wake from the Xbox Store and Steam on Monday, May 15th. There is a reason. It’s doing this because the music licenses for the game are expiring. It’s in the process of relicensing the game’s music but it can’t say for sure how long that’s going to take. So the game will not be available for purchase until the licenses are renegotiated.
If interested, the game’s spin-off title, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, will still be available for purchase since Remedy was able to renegotiate the music licenses for that game. If you already own Alan Wake you have nothing to worry about. Customers who purchased it already will be able to keep playing the game as they’ve done so for a long time.Nothing changes. Remedy is offering the game for a 90 percent discount right now so that anyone who wants to buy Alan Wake can get it at the very low price of $1.99.
