As we previously reported, Yahoo is on a buying spree lately. Its latest purchase was the popular blogging platform Tumblr for which Yahoo paid $1.1 billion. The company was rumored to be interested in acquiring a controlling stake in Dailymotion, but that deal reportedly fell through. As we reported the other day, now the company has its sights set on Hulu, for which it has apparently submitted a bid that ranges between $600 million to $800 million.
This figure comes from AllThingsD, which cites people familiar with the situation. Yahoo’s bid range is determined by things like content licensing rights and the programming companies’ control over content. Yahoo is not done shopping yet either. The company is looking to acquire two more companies related to mobile and communications.
That’s where they will spend between $150 million to $200 million.
