You already use your Xbox One for gaming, watching movies, and other activities, and now it can help you to brush up on your language skills. Assuming you need to learn English or Spanish anyway. This is now possible through Rosetta Stone, which has announced the launch of an Xbox One app.
The app will teach the languages using a kind of simulated immersion environment, as if you were traveling to a region that spoke the language. Your Xbox can now make you more worldly. Who would have thought?
Rosetta Stone announced the new app on Tuesday. I bet you never thought you could use your console to learn new languages. The app is called Rosetta Stone’s Discover Languages app, and right now it only offers English and Spanish training, but it may be expanded in the future.
The app takes you to the Discovery Zone, where you will talk with different characters while exploring locations. There is also a Training Zone, which is where you can “solidify the concepts” you’ve picked up at any point using everything from games to recommendations on studying. Now you really have no excuse not to learn a language since it can even be done on a game console.
