With the next-generation of video game consoles, you will still be able to download and play your games directly from your hard drive, but if you look at some Xbox One game case covers, you wonder how many games you can fit on your hard drive. Seems like not many.
Reddit user BenneyBopper published some photos of Xbox One game cases that were spotted at an EB Games store. The games were Dead Rising 3, Ryse and Forza Motorsport 5. Each will require a certain amount of data to be installed on the Xbox One’s hard drive of course. Dead Rising 3 and Forza Motorsport 5 will require 35GB of storage. Ryse will require 47GB.
Now think about that with the Xbox One’s 500GB hard drive. If we use these numbers, then somewhere around 10 to 14 games can be installed on the drive before running out of space. The Xbox One doesn’t allow owners to replace their hard drive like Sony does, but you can expand storage capacity by connecting a USB external drive to the console.
However, this feature won’t be supported at the launch of the Xbox One. Hopefully it won’t take them very long to give it to us. Looks like we will need it.
