2015 just rolled over into 2016 and already some video games are being bumped into 2017. That’s just the way it goes. PlatinumGames has announced that its RPG Scalebound has been pushed back to 2017 in order to deliver “all the innovative features and thrilling gameplay experiences” the team has planned.
This won’t sit well with those who were looking forward to this XBox One exclusive, but the goal is to make the game even better before it is released. You really can’t blame them for that. What we have seen of this game so far looks phenomenal, so this is sad news.
The title was previously scheduled for “fall 2016,” but now fans will have to wait until next year. At least the Xbox One has some other exclusives to fall back on this year, like Quantum Break, ReCore and Crackdown 3, so this doesn’t hurt them terribly. It is a disappointment though since this game has the potential to be a real standout game. Fighting with giant dragons against other huge monsters? What’s not to love?
Don’t worry though, by 2017 you will be fighting alongside of dragons and laying waste to all of your enemies. We will just have to wait a little while first.
