It is true that Microsoft’s Xbox One has seen some disappointing sales figures in Japan, but don’t count the console out everywhere. There are plenty of markets where the Xbox One is doing just fine. Right after FIFA 15 was released, and helped by a price cut over in the U.K., it has been reported that the Xbox One has sold more units compared to the Sony PS4.
Titles make all of the difference. Without good titles, what you have is just a large paperweight instead of a gaming console. Microsoft does have some great titles for the Xbox One right now.
According to an anonymous retail source, Xbox One hardware sales saw an increase of 155% week-on-week. This is partly attributed to the recent Xbox One price cut and partly due to FIFA 15 that “honors” Luis Suarez’s real life ban. Don’t worry PS4 fans, sales figures have not dropped for that console. In fact, sales figures for the PS4 have also increased, shifting 80%. It just wasn’t enough to get ahead of the Xbox One this week. It seems like both are winning at the moment and that is good for gamers. Good games are everywhere and both consoles have their advantages.
