We know very little about Microsoft’s next Xbox. Here’s something we do know. Gamers don’t like games that require always on internet connectivity. For the most part, anyway. According to multiple sources the next Xbox might require gamers to have an always on internet connection just to play games on the console.
It is also rumored that the console will only continue to let you play for three minutes in case the connection is disrupted. According to the sources, no games or apps will be launched unless the console is connected to the internet.
If this is actually what Microsoft intends, it is a big mistake. Sony has already confirmed that PS4 will not require an online connection for starting or running any game. Look at the SIMCity backlash.
