Windows 8 has been on the market for less than a year, so all things considered, the ecosystem of apps for the operating system is growing fast. Microsoft is hoping to keep that momentum going by announcing that the Windows Store now has over 100,000 apps available.
The //build/ conference allowed Microsoft to re-engage with developers and share some of the things we have to look forward to in Windows 8.1. It will be interesting to see how Microsoft will continue to unify the experience between devices.
We are also looking forward to seeing how everything grows. I wonder how many apps they will have a year from now.
