Windows Phone 8.1 is expected to be the next big update for Microsoft’s operating system. The new OS is expected to fill the gaps that were left and could help Windows Phone compete with the dominant iOS and Android OS.
Recently, some images of the alleged notification center, dubbed as the Action Center, for Windows Phone 8.1 have surfaced on the internet, showing us what to expect in the upcoming Windows Phone Blue.
One screenshots shows that you can toggle WiFi, Bluetooth, Driving Mode and Airplane mode from the action center with a few simple taps, somethign which is present on Android already. Even iOS has the Control Center that lets users manage these settings.
On the second screenshot, it shows the notifications from apps such as Messaging and Facebook. This should be welcomed as a good update by Windows Phone fans. You can clear all the notifications or access all settings from the same screen as well — reminds me of Android again.
Anyway, Microsoft is expected to take the wraps off of the new Windows Phone 8.1 operating system at the annual BUILD 2014 conference which will take place in April. We’ll bring you all the updates from the event, including all the details about the Windows Phone 8.1 if it gets unveiled there.
