Microsoft recently showed off some devices at its event in New York and they also laid some numbers on us. As in how many devices have been upgraded to Windows 10 since the software was announced earlier this year in July. How high do you think that number is? Well, as it turns out, there are more than 110 million devices that are running on Windows 10.
I think we can safely say that Windows 10 is off to a good start. You might remember that the company had set the goal for Windows 10 back in April. Microsoft expects the software to reach over 1 billion devices within two to three years. Right now it looks like they won’t have any problems hitting that number.
Microsoft’s Terry Myerson also had some news about the company’s new web browser Microsoft Edge. Myerson says that 650 billion web pages have been viewed using the new browser, and that users have streamed 120 years worth of gameplay from Xbox to Windows 10 machines. So things are looking great for Microsoft at the moment on several fronts.
In other news, Microsoft has over one billion visits to the Windows app store from Windows 10 machines since the software was released on July 29th. Cortana has handled more than one billion queries from devices running Windows 10 since launch too. This is some pretty impressive news.
