Wilson has a new product that will upgrade the old fashioned basketball, which has not chanced much in ages. That new product is the Connected Basketball.
This $200 ball is designed to help players monitor their practice and become the next Michael Jordan. It has interior sensors that detect shots taken, shots made, free throws, and other common basketball feats. The company says that the battery is good for at least 100,000 shots, which is pretty impressive.
The Wilson app includes four game modes called Free Range, Free Throw, Buzzer Beater and Game Time. The Free Range lets you shoot from anywhere on the court. Free Throw sees how well you can shoot from the line just as the name implies. The Buzzer Beater and Game Time modes will test how well you can do when the clock is ticking down to zero and your team is down by just a few points. So this ball seems to have everything covered as far as situations you will face in a real basketball game.
It even has crowd noise and sports commentator observations to make it as realistic as possible. This is sure to help up and coming new players become better and hopefully become pro superstars who make millions.
