Google Maps with street view is now available on the Nintendo Wii U today as a free for a limited time download. Before it was previously only available in Japan.
The application is called Wii Street U. It will allow you to navigate through Google Maps just like you would on your computer or mobile device, but you can also use the Nintendo Wii U’s GamePad to view the location from street level with Google’s Street View feature. You’ll be able to move your controller around to view your location as if you’re there in person.
We don’t know how long Wii Street U will be available for free or how much it will cost once the free period runs out, so Wii U owners will want to check it out now.
